How to Display Component or Module in a Article

Placing components, modules or modules in the articles have never been too easy, but sometimes we need to use this kind of solution.

For this purpose we must use either the built-in solutions, not always ideal, or install additional extensions in general plugins. Let's start with the simplest of tricks for Joomla 2.5:

How to put any module in the article?

Check if the “Content – Load Modules” plugin in the Plugin Manager is enabled. Then create or edit a module and add custom module position to it like "special-position" you can type it in. Assign the module a position not used in your template.

Remember to set settings of module like that: Status = Published, Access = Public, Module Assignment = On all pages. Afterwards edit your article and enter in the {*loadposition moduleposition*}   (please remove "*")  command where you want the module to be displayed.

Of course you can use special plugins like: Load Module in Article (pages-and-items.com) or more expanded like: Modules Anywhere (nonumber.nl).

How to put any component in the article?

This time you have to use extra plugin from beginning - Plugin Include Component (http://joomlacode.org/gf/project/include_comp/frs/).

This extension is to include a component in an article without an iframe. So the links will work like in an normal page and styling of the site will be used and also the style of the component.

The syntax is {component url='' } - replace with the url to your component and include index.php?

For example: {component url='index.php?option=com_component&Itemid=....' } You can make a hidden menu item so you can configure components with their menu parameters and copy the generated link to the url parameter of the plugin.

How create menu item page that contains only modules and no component?

There are two solution, first use template framework like in our Gavern Framework who has built-in this kind of solution or just use Blank Component (http://omar84.com/downloads). I still wonder why this small piece of code was not included originally in Joomla!.

We hope that you find what you have been looking for.
